SECURITY QUESTION
I have a question....
Just for fun I let my kids "google" my name today. When they did, it showed my screen name address etc for the Village Blogger. I was concerned that now just the whole world knows about the penascodragonfly.
How to I keep my information more private. Now I know some of y'all say, well if you want to be that private....don't sign up. That's not what I'm saying. Of course I want my profile available to fellow villagers...because I choose that.
Is there a way to keep from being posted on Google or other search engines?
Thanks

Wow I just googled my full name as well and got quite a few pages with stuff about me on it but no phone #, address or anything like that.

I googled and found out I have a very popular name. Only one thing was mine. I had commented on a blog.

If you google my full name you find a picture of my ear. haha. It's on a peircing site.
I don't know how to stop that. I hardly ever put my last name on anything online so it would be hard to track me around.

Just edit your info in Village Blogger, don't need your last name or area or bdate to register.

I deleted my last name off my Village Blogger account a few months ago, and when I google my name it still comes up. I'm not sure how long Google keeps pages, but it was in at least November that I changed it.

My name is literally one of a kind so if you google my name EVERY entry is actually about me.

Sarah--That's so funny. My husband actually pointed that out to me before!!! He was reading over my shoulder one time and saw your name.

Ok, you got me curious and I had to google myself also. Nothing on the 'real' me...but I have a few altered identities that include a doctor and an artist...woohoo! lol

I had a friend google me and found my blog at village blogger a few weeks ago. I changed it to be more exclusive because of that. It's not that I mind that my friend found it but still... Makes you think, you know?
