    Unhappy Watching the weather

    On the local new tonight we were informed that we are under a winter storm watch for tomorrow night. Lake effect snow. LOL Posibly 10+ inches by sunday night. Woo Hoo! Boy am I glad I went shopping and stocked up on everything today.

    Oh my, I wouldn't know what to do with 1" of snow, LOL. Yep, good thing you stocked the pantry. Bundle up, stay warm and safe.

    Actually it's lake effect snow and it can pile up pretty fast. That means that cold air crossing the warmer water makes it snow. We get more lake effect snow than system snow caused by storms. LOL we even get lake effect rain sometimes.

    Oh, I know lake effect snow (and rain) very well.
    We got some Tuesday night. It was coming down an inch an hour. Thankfully we only ended up with 5-6". A little south of us got 13".
    Thanksgiving '05 we got nearly TWO FEET in a twelve hour period
