Default I Just Received Some Very Sad and Shocking News

This is so sad. A fellow adoptive parent of 6 (father) has shot and killed himself under the water tower in our town tonight. He and his wife seperated a few months ago and I was told tonight that he was trying to get back with her. I guess it didn't work out and he decided he didn't want to live anymore. Those poor children. The oldest is 16 and the youngest is 2. He and the children were coming to our church last year and then they moved into town and started going to another church. I just saw him and three of the kids in the grocery store a few weeks ago and they all seemed so happy. Please, please, pray for this family.

I'm so sorry, I know how devistating to a family suicide is.

Unimaginable pain, for both the man before his suicide and the family to live with now.
Prayers for all--you included, knowing folks that such happens to often causes us to grieve not only for them but in our own way for our own life losses.
    Extra hugs.

My mind keeps going back to that day in the grocery store a few weeks ago. He seemed so happy and content, and even said that he had accepted the fact that he and Tracy had gone their seperate ways and he was ready to go on with his life. DH and I were talking about it this morning and I was reminded of a Emmelou Harris song called "Beneath Still Waters."

"Beneath still waters there's a deep undertow. The surface won't tell you what the deep water knows." How true this is.

Amen, isn't that the truth?!? You never know what's really going on.
When battling intense pain, all it takes is one crack in the facade....have mercy.
