Anyone else get "vibes"

Okay, this is a spinoff from the 5 things to know about me thread. PrairieRose mentioned seeing the tsunami and being able to tell if people are desparate and picking up on "feelings" of those around her.

On that thread, I mentioned in the past I have had dreams about plane crashes and they always actually happen within three days of my dream. I too am VERY sensitive to others feelings without knowing anything about them.

In the past month, I have "known" someone had cancer (before she was diagnosed and she just had a vague pain in her side) and that someone else was having marital problems (I've never talked "personal" stuff with this person, nor have I ever met his wife). I just had this "feeling" about both of them. Again, I don't know either of them well at all.

Anyone else get these feelings? They may just be coincidences.

My husband says my sense of intuition is frighteningly good. I've never had dreams about things or whatever before they happen but I just "know" things about situations and people. Sometimes it frustrates me that other people don't have the same ability but I have to remember everyone is not like me.

I don't believe in psychics or anything but I do believe in unexplainable intuition.

I am pretty good at "sensing" when something is wrong or off -- I usually call it my woman's intuition.

hmmm, this is something i could go on and on about. but i won't. i knew before the kdis did when every grandchild wsa on it's way, and all the sex. i knew to the minute, yes the minute when my dd's miracle was going to be born. i have dreams when someone is going to die, like i said i could go on and on

I have burst into tears swearing my cat was dead and then getting a call about an hour later from the vet saying my cat was dead.

I have cried over a gf being very sick and then have her call me to tell me about her cancer.

I have dreamt that another man was my father to only get a call a week later from a man telling me he is really my father.

I have dreamt that I would have a girl and I did.

I would also go on to describe myself as a very sensitive person. Too sensitive for this world.

I could be occupied with something & I could 'see in the spirit" an image of someone in trouble,etc. & felt impressed to pray for them.

I feel things, that are going to happen in my family........ Most of them live in different states......... I can sense things about people by looking at their eyes or their face. I am right most of the time.

If I am close enough to someone I can sense when they're about to go through major changes in their life. When I'm around them, everything feels about a fraction of a degree off center, if that makes any sense.

I am very intune with my body and my girls say that I am a "good witch". I think that if you are intune with your body and listen to your inner voice anything is possible.

I have been very good at "knowing" when someone is pregnant. I can tell before they begin to show, I never see anything like them getting sick or using the bathroom a lot. I can just sense it when I am close to someone. I have told people in the past that I thought someone might be pregnant and they asked how I knew and I felt so weird saying "I can just sense it." I have stopped saying anything to anyone until the mommy to be says she is. Then I act surprised and congratulate them. Even though I knew she was carrying that secret around for a few months. I have had this happen several times with acquaintances. I must be picking up on an "inward glow" or something so subtle most people miss it.

I am also pretty good at knowing what people are thinking. This has worked for me and against me. It works for me whenever I work in customer service and can try to attend to "unspoken" needs of others. It also works against me though, especailly in the workforce, when I can tell who doesn't like me, but still smiles and pretends to. It makes it very hard for me to be nice back, because I can "tell" what they are thinking.

I also tend to go into a kind of panic like a rabbit mode right before a really bad storm in the area. I have to be in the area the storm will hit and I start getting panic attacks and feel "on edge." Then I look outside, turn on the weather channel and confirm what I am feeling. It happens to me at least one time a year. Right before tornado warnings and once before a 100 mile an hour wind storm. Sometimes before a really severe thunderstorm. It's hard to explain, but my family thinks I am a freak because of it!

I tend to be a very sensitive person and I think that's why I pick up on things most people in my life never notice. Sometimes I think I am too sensitive to function well in life.

Well, for me it's no mystery when I get feelings like that. The Bible speaks about people having a Spirit of Discernment and a Spirit of Knowledge. The first being when you can "sense" things about a person like depression, and such. The second being knowing things that you have no "logical" way of knowing. I completely believe in these and have experienced both. The more I pray the more I experience them.

Ok just to clarify....I didn't 'see' the tsunami but I had an overwhelming sense of something really, really horrible that was about to happen. So bad that I cried when I told my Gripey that it was about to happen, whatever it was.

I can also tell when someone 'really' doesn't like me, even if I've never met the person before or have never given them a real reason to. I can also sense when someone is really lonely, don't have to ever have a conversation with them.

I got "feeling" like Cricket talks about alot, and 95% of the time my feeling is right......
I can sense things about people and really "read" people even if it is the 1st time seeing them and again I am right 95% of the time.
Sometimes it is okay but other time I don't like te feeling at all.....

I have always taught our kids that is you have a feeling you should act on it.

I can't predict events and stuff, but I am extraordinarily empathetic. Not sympathetic, empathetic. I can physically feel when other people are hurting, and when things are not right with someone. I'm able to understand how people are feeling (even if I've never felt the same myself) and help them explain their feelings to others.

It started when I was a little kid and I used to intervene when my teachers and classmates were having a misunderstanding. I'd say "What Jason wants is this, what you (the teacher) want is this, Jason is feeling like this, you are feeling like this, this is how we can resolve this." I've since mediated a lot of arguments between friends and family members by helping each party understand how the other party was feeling.

It's one of my few natural talents, and something that I feel like I've been extremely blessed to have.
