Simple Abundance ?
Do any of you follow the principles in Simple Abundance? I love all of her books, and would like to be better at them. I went to her site, which she has redone, But was shocked to find out that to axcess most of it you are going to have to pay $60 dollars a year!!!!!!!!! Are people really going to pay this?? I am very interested in it , but not enough to pay that.

I love her books and refer back to them sometimes when I'm in need of something peaceful or thought provoking. I haven't ever visited her site though and I don't really follow her principals in a literal way. There have been several points/ideas she's written though, which I found thought provoking enough for me to have integrated into my life. (such as thinking about 5 things I'm grateful for everyday)

the one thing I really took from the book was keeping a "gratitude" journal-something so simple but so impactful....

Yikes! $60 a year?? I think I'll stick to the book! I picked it up at Goodwill late last fall and started it on Jan 1st.

I've read and enjoyed her books but I'm not sure you could say I "follow" her principles. I do like to keep the inspiration journal (pictures cut from magazines, things that catch my eye, etc.) and the gratitude journal. I also have her book "Mrs. Sharp's Traditions" which has some good ideas for holidays, making the ordinary special, etc. Her books are nice to read when I need "recharging".
Oh, and I definitely wouldn't pay $60 for access to a website.

I have read Simple Abundance, and I enjoyed it. I would not pay $60 to access her site, though.

I think I would simply hold on to my cash and enjoy the abundance of my 60 dollars.

I read the entire book last year in four days, and am just now going through it one day at a time. I didn't even realize that she had a website - I'm having a very enlightening journey just following the book, so I won't bother with a website.

I agree with you. I think part of the whole thing is picking up the book and selecting stuff from it rather than using a site (especially one that would cost me 30 quid!)
I am reading "Romancing the Ordinary" just now and I like that too, although I haven't been tempted to make hot chocolate soup...

I have Romancing the Ordinary, Mrs. Sharps', Something more, and a workbook all bought at Barnes and Nobles on clearance, and also her new one, Moving on or something like that. I also got her music cd on half.com, very relaxing music, all original stuff.
I really enjoy her writing and go back to her first 2 books and refer back to them often. The new one, I am having a harder time getting into. Rooted Nomad, I like your avatar.

Thank-you!!! It took me quite awhile to find one that "felt" like me. It, like my user name, kind of represent the dual nature I'm aware of inside of me. (I like having a "home" to return to but I also love roaming spur of the moment to anywhere, with next to nothing) The avatar hit me as light and dark, old and young, stong and soft, cold and warm, realistic and spiritual.
(Sorry i was off topic there)
