Looking for info about an article on secret passageways

Around 1995, give or take a year or two, there was an article in Nickelodeon Magazine about strange houses.

One of the houses was a huge tree turned into a home. Another was a large shoe turned house and the one I want to know about is the house that had secret passageways.

I remember vaguely about a waterfall that goes to a swimming pool. The guy may have been a creator of Dungeons and dragons, that part is fuzzy. At the time I was about 10 years old. I have an image in my head of a guy sitting at his desk grinning madly showing off an entrance either in the filing cabinet or under his desk.

Anyone know what the hell I’m talking about? Do you have link or at least know what issue of the magazine i'm talking about? This has been bugging me for about 5 years.

Nope, don't know where that house is, but the Shoe house in about 20 minutes from me in York, PA.
