What a sad day.
We have had a series of tornadoes today in Alabama. Enterprise High School was heavily damaged, football stadium destroyed etc...Some reports are saying this particular tornado was eight hundred yards wide. The AP has just reported that their are eight deaths confirmed as of now from this tornado. No word on if they are students, teachers etc... Also, a seperate tornado hit in another county and the AP has said there is one confirmed death there.
Please, keep all of these guys in your prayers, as we are hoping there are no more deaths.DD (19)

My DH is in Alabama on business and called when he heard of the tornadoes to let me know he was ok. He said he hears tornado sirens going off around him and the company plant had to retreat to the cellar. He said he would call later when everything calms down.
I think that is a very sad situation with the high school. As a parent, I would go crazy. I will pray for all of those affected by the tornadoes today.
And for those still in the path of more storms to come, stay safe!~*Michelle*~

I hope the storms end soon. This has to be terrifying! Stay safe!
DH just called and I could hear the sirens going off in the back ground. He said he could see a wall cloud, but no tornado. He is the assistant fire chief for our vol. fire department and is a storm spotter because of it, so he knows what to look for. He said he was outside of his hotel watching the weather. I am glad he is coming home tomorrow!~*Michelle*~

This is the high school my oldest would be going to if we were still living in the house we owned in Enterprise. She still has friends there that she's trying to get in contact with

It is so surreal to see a place you used to live destroyed like that.....

My prayers go out to all of you...I'm all the way up here in Fargo and it's amazing to me that the same storm system is giving us blizzards/heavy snow/etc. That's not as bad as tornados..but can be pretty bad if a person isn't careful. Thankfully we all know how to deal with it up here..
Be safe!
