COLD

It is real cold here today with the windchill it is -35 right now. I was supposed to take DD to a kids cooking class today we would have had to walk or take the bus. So I called last night to see if I could transfer the money to the next one. I left a message no one calle back so I called back this morning. The lady said so what you just don't feel like walking? I said no with the wind chill it is -35 and I am not walking or standing waiting for a bus because the bus stop is still 2 blocks away and it is faster to walk there after you walk to the stop and stand around waiting for the bus which is never on time. The walk is about 15 mins, because it is so cold I would never make it in time with out the cold bothering us or giving us frost bite.
She said she was sorry but couldn't because you have to give 48hrs notice! I understand but I didn't know 48hrs ago that it was going to -35 with a chance to get into the -40s with a windchill. Any ways it is to cold here! When is spring supposed to come?

I wouldn't go to a place that had treated me so shabbily.

I am furious for you to have had to deal with that piece of work!

You can get your kiddos in some aprons(we love them here) and pull out a recipe with lots of measuring and stirring and less heat, and have your own and your kids don't have to have their "out of the house" manners either.

Take pictures and make a scrap book page and tell Miss Snippy to take a hike!

I think that is downright mean, she should understand that you have to take the bus and with kids for that matter, no one can predict the future, she should have had some sympathy. I agree that she could have been a bit more understanding, and like Cricketlegs, I think you should just get down to cooking in your own kitchen, it's fun!
