You may have heard about this since it's been going on for a while. A college student in California has taken to living out of his pick up truck to pay off his debts:

Kind of interesting how one can "make do".

Interesting...although the part about the Gatorade bottle was maybe just a bit TMI.

Now that's what I call gazelle intense in order to get out of debt. I could never be that extreme. I like my nice comfortable bed.

Wow! I think it's great that he feels safe enough doing that and that he has had the stamina to keep it up for so long. Also great that he has almost paid off his credit card debts.

Good for him....Deffinately easier to do while he's single .... and has access to school facilities. Don't think I could've done it....I'd miss the bathroom!

Loved that story. Instead of blaming others or racking up more debt, he's taking care of business.

Thank you for the article. I really admire him for taking control of his debt. I'm glad that no harm has come his way while living in his truck. Just amazing what you can do when you set your mind to it.

I think it is great and it just solidifies my point that mortgage and rent debt is so out of hand.
