    Default Something is up

I called Dh to see when he would be home from work for dinner (needed to know if it would be soon or if i should package it up to reheat). When dh answered he said he was in with the boss lady (who has been rather flaky lately) and would have to call me back. It didn't sound good at all. I have an uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach.

A few days ago the boss said she was concidering closing down the business and wanted us to move to WY to work at her other business. DH said no. I had a fit, I don't wanna move nowhere but to Maine. Either Maine or stay put> Dh agreed to staying put. whew.

    I am really nervous.

I'll be praying for your family that everything turns out well. I know job worries can cause a lot of stress.

Hopefully everything will turn out okay. In the meantime I would not worry myself over something you have no control over.

boss lady and dh got into a arguement about Dh not wanting to move to WY. She said that if he doesn't want to move the family he could rent a small apt there. DH said with what little he makes he couldn't rent a cardboard box. And he wasn't interested in leaving his family and being a weekend spouse and father. She said we all need to learn to make sacrifices, blah blah. So end result, DH is back working today, and we're pretty sure it won't be long before work is pulled out from under him.

The whole thing sounds odd, doesn't it? I will be hoping for the best.

annymoll, the company has been this way since dh started some 7 years ago. They have asked and demanded things that are above what most companies would ever ask or demand. They are a family business and can get away with it because of the weak job market here, they can replace someone who won't conform in a millisecond.

I wish you luck Missy, my last job was with a small family run business and they had ridiculous demands too, above and beyond what I was told my job responsibilities would be when I was hired. They terminated my employment with no warnings! I feel for you and your DH. I think if the job market was stronger people wouldn't be forced to put up with jobs that are so unreasonable and employers would be forced to treat people better to keep good workers. You and your DH are in my thoughts and prayers.
