    Unhappy Stress Test results...

    We went yesterday and DH had his stress test, and then we were promptly escorted down to the ER. He had a positive stress test and has high BP. The ER had him hooked up to another EEG and everything seemed fine so after several hours we were told we could go but we were going to have to come back to see the cardiologist. So he went back to work, and called me several hours later and didn't sound good again. So we called the hospital we were just at and they told us to go to the bigger hospital. So we went and wanted sooooooooooooo long that his pain was gone. AND they wouldn't let me go back for an hour and a half but wouldn't tell me what was going on. They hooked him up to an EEG and guess what it showed NOTHING!!!!! The student DR. treated us both like we were idiots. I could have just screamed. we may not be that old but we were older then him. And told him it probably was gas or something. I looked straight at him and said He had a positive stress test this morning it is more then gas. So we were told he could go, my mom came and picked us up. She is an ICU nurse so I explained what happened and what was said. And she was dumbfounded. She said it sounds more like maybe a partial blockage or heart spasms. We still have no real clue about what is going on because no body is telling us anything. GRRRRRRR

    I hope when your husband sees the cardiologist that he will be able to piece this together and find out what is wrong. I would just dismiss what the ER doctor said. Make sure your husband sees the cardiologist and gets the answers and proper treatment he needs. I will keep your family in my prayers.

    I work for a cardiologist. FOLLOW UP WITH A CARDIOLOGIST ASAP. If his stress test was positive he needs to possibly have some kind of intervention. (Catherization, etc.) depending on how it was positive.

    I think great advise has been shared. Go to the cardio doc. The ER doc though well trained isn't always the best at every practice. Ignore his diagnosis and go to the cardio doc.

    The Dr. Called DH at work and we go and see the Cardiolodist on Tuesday. My mom was amazed at how quick they are getting us back in. She says that normal it takes weeks to get in to see him. So far DH is feeling better I just hope that it is nothing serious and that they are getting him in quick to take care of his BP. Trying to think positive and not worry to much but it doesn't seem to be working to well. I think I would feel even a little better if they would just tell us what is going on.
    I feel like our life is on hold until we know, he is too scared right now to keep TTC I am worried as well.(sorry if that is TMI) He is not going to book his vacation just in case we need to use it for any kind of recovery. He is going to be short pay next pay day because he doesn't get sick days.
    We had a crap load of snow dumped on us and I won't let him shovel it. I said not until the DR.s tell us something. I don't like feeling like my life is out of control. Tuesday can't come fast enough.
    Thank you for all the support and advice ladies. {{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}

    Most interventional procedures are outpatient and he would go home the same day. Tell him not to worry, plenty of people have positive stress tests. He'll be fine. He needs to relax

    I'm so sorry that you are going through this and I pray that your dh makes a quick recovery from what ever is causing the problems. You were so right not to let him shovel snow. I hope the visit goes well on Tuesday.
