    Exclamation Moist Cat Food Recall

I didn't know if anyone else posted this already: Our news just posted a recall for moist cat food (pouches and cans). Iams, Eukanueba, Wegmans brand and if you go online they have a lengthier list for other cat and dog brands too. I guess these particular brands have been recalled because they were causing kidney problems in animals :surprise: . I am going to go online and see if I can find some more information. I have 2 furbabies and want to keep them healhty.

If you go to this website they have a list of all the recalled dog and cat food brands. You might have to copy and paste this web address. I don't know how to make it a direct link.

Willie and Gracie will only eat dry Purina Cat Chow. I will forward this on to some friends who have cats though since I'm not sure what they are feeding them. Thanks for the heads up.

Thank you. My mom had called to warn me, but I'd have had to dig into the details, so thanks for the pointers! My cats are kind of my life right now - probably not well balanced of me, but better than being too desperately lonely.

This is the latest updated list that I have found. On the news here last night it said to keep your package and any vet bills that may happen if your pet gets sick from eating the food, because there may be financial compensation.
Hope that everybodys pets are ok.

I've been feeding my two old cats Whiska's pouches. I checked and was relieved to see that this food is made by the Mars company, not involved in the recall. I had to take one of the cats to the vets in the last couple weeks for vomiting, and they checked her for kidney failure. She's better now. Phew.
