Maybe someone can answer police-y question
There's a house right by me that I am pretty sure is up to no good. The windows are all blacked out, those that are stilll there. There are cars of all kinds comming and going at all times. All kinds of trash all around, etc. The people acat all paranoid, those that don't are agressive. "what do you think yer lookin at" kind of attitudes. Cars come, stay for at most five minutes and leave, all day and night (the back of the house faces me, and an alley runs between us) I am pretty sure drugs are being sold. but havent actually SEEN it that I am absolutely 100% sure of. Teh people that come and go from they house are scary scary.
If there are any actual "SIGNS" of a drug house, what are they? Any advise would be great. I don't wanna call the police on the guy only to find out that it's hospice people comming by all the time (no I am sure these people arent...hospice ppl aren't so....twitchy and nervous about being there, don't make an effort to ...make themselves less noticeable)
Anyhow, any info would be great.~~ Missy ~~

Just call and say there's some suspicious activity.
We once called the police because we heard a lot of yelling from our neighbors house, it turned out their mental disabled son was home for the week and he was having a fit. The police were really nice, saying that better to call and it be nothing then ignore it and something really bad happen.

I too would call the police and tell them about suspicious activity happening, if they go check it out and nothing bad is going on then so be it but you would be doing a great thing if it so happens that is a drug house. Let us know what you decide to do.
P.S. On that note, sounds to me like a drug house for sure, if not only selling, maybe producing it as well.

You can call, but betcha they have a police scanner and know the police activity in the area. Got a video camera?

It sounds like the house has suspicious activity at it. I wonder if there is a way to inform the police without it going over the police scanner. Then it would be a surprise when the police show up to check things out.

You would probably get better results by reporting the trash and rundown conditions to the city code enforcement. Unless you have something concrete to go on, some type of evidence or obvious illegal activity, police likely won't come out.
Check your city's codes, see what they are violating and report them.Nicole, Mom of 4 ages 6-16~

I lived across the street from a house that sounds just like what you are talking about, And they were in fact a crack house.

The last apartments we lived in had a similar apt a couple of doors down. People of all flavors coming and going 24/7 (even coming up to the back bedroom windows like a McD's drivethru). We called the non-emergency police # and reported the situation. They regularly started patrolling our neighborhood and made several arrests.

I would call the nonemergency number and tell them what you see. Then it is up to the cops to make the decision on patrolling the area more and seeing what is up.

We had something like this going on by us and I think it sounds really shady. AndI think you should def call the police -- let them sort it out!
