Sources say the increase will be phased in over three years.
Ontario's minimum wage will jump to $8.75 next year, $9.25 an hour in 2009 and to $10.25 in 2010.
Finance Minister Greg Sorbara is expected to release a study on Thursday that warns of heavy job losses if the government were to immediately increase the minimum wage to $10.
The minimum wage was $6.85 an hour in 2003 when the Liberals came to power. The Ontario Government has gradually increased it to $8.
