Can you help me with wording?
I need to make suggestions for the wording on the plaques we Seniors are giving our lit professors, and I'm having some trouble working it out. Anyone want to help?
One has waxed poetic on several occasions about how much more romantic it would be to be on the gold standard. As in, "I'd like to have a bar of gold, something tangible, that I could take and physically put in the bank." We've decided to attach a bar of gold (a small, one-ounce bar, which we got on ebay) to his plaque, along with something about it being a return on his investment in us.
The other has a thing for lighthouses, so we'd like to get her a plaque with a lighthouse laser-cut on it, along with something about her being a beacon to us.
I just can't seem to get any kind of eloquent flow going for this. Any suggestions?
TIA!

I would love to help, but it's just bit too hard without knowing them. What if you wrote up a draft of what you are trying to say and someone can pretty it up?
