    Default Hello from Baltimore!

How did you hear about frugal village? I was surfing budget and frugal sites to see what I could do to help reduce the family debt and improve the family savings.

What interests you here? The wonderful ideas that others use and so willingly share. I find I tweak my systems of organization every so often to keep me focused on what I need to do.

Do you know any other members here? Not that I am aware of but one never knows.

How many kids? Ages? No, but still trying.

Tell us about yourself. I am 42yrs old, married only 5 yrs to the one man I would not want to live without. We have been slowly insulating our home as we realized there was/is NOTHING between the walls and little in the attic. We are DIYers for most things but my spouse just shakes his head when I take it to extremes and want to make laundry detergent too. LOL

Do you own any pets? We have 2 shelties about 18 mos old, and 3 cats. Thats enough for us right now and my spouse refuses to let me have any chickens or sheep because we live in the suburbs.... he keeps telling me about zoning issues..hehehe.

SAHM or Working mom? I started doing housecleaning after getting married and work quarter time outside the house at that. I love being in charge of my schedule.

Interests and hobbies? I am a big fan of history from the bronze age to about the 1700s. I find myself wanting to be more self sufficient and less of a commercial product consumer. I hate the idea of being told I "need" something when it is something that puts money in someone elses pocket.

I have been working on teaching myself yeast bread making and currently keep Sundays as my baking day, but might need to add another day mid-week. I am also working on learning knitting, cheese making (just beginning) and trying to get my garden in.

And that is probably more about me than anyone would ever want to know.

Welcome! I'm about an hour up the road in Delaware. I just joined last month, and I'm hooked on this forum. Reading your interests, such as baking & making things from scratch, I think you'll be right at home here!!!
