HI there from the Netherlands
I've been a member for a while but haven't had much time to post yet - I hope that that will change soon.
I am a SAHM of 5 kids and live in Holland with my lvely DH and the kids. There are usually more than just the 6 of us at dinner since the kids' friends come by very regularly.
Our oldest son of 25 doesn't live at home any more and has finished his schooling - he too is at home VERY often - usually around dinner time.
Our youngest 4 kids - 3 boys and a girl (the youngest) are still at home.
Next September all four of them will be at university and our already stretched budget will be stretched to breaking point in an already VERY expensive Holland where we all live.
That's why I hope to be on here a lot more often so that I can learn a LOT of new things and meet some new people.
(((HUGS))

Hi and

Thank you for the warm welcome - nice to be here.
A few of you wanted to know some stuff about Holland.
Well - it is the flatest country in the world, is mostly below sea level and is also one of the most densely populated.
We also have one of the highest income taxes in the world and the people are officially the tallest. (For example - my 4 sons are 6'6", 6'2", 6'5" and 6'7" and believe me - they are not the tallest in their group of friends.)
Amsterdam is the capital of the country but The Hague is the seat of government and where all the embassies are. The Hague is also where the International Courts are - where all of the former Balkan war criminals are being tried.) Of course everyone knows that Holland is famous for its clogs and tulips.
This is the basic stuff - has anyone anything that they would like to know specifically?
