Howdy, from the mitten!
I am new here and thought I had better introduce myself. I am from Michigan, which some of us call the "mitten." I am married and we are in the process of adopting our first child. Currently, we have a family of one cat and one poodle who believes he is a prince.
I found this site about a week ago and have learned so much already, so thank you!!! My purpose here is to get control an idea of our spending habits. We are foodies, and so much of our money goes to food that eventually gets wasted. I already troll "good" garbage, clip coupons, and shop the back of the stores first, but I know I have still much to learn from all of you.
Looking forward to getting to know all of you!

yeahhhhhhhhh another foodie! My husband and I are foodies too. He cooks for a living and it spills over to home too much!! I have been working on couponing and stockpiling to offset some of this cost. We like trying new products and recipes, as well as entertaining.
Thus far I am a failure at couponing. I keep thinking this must be a learned skill.......lol. Well anyway..........a big welcome to you. This is a good place and everyone is very nice.
