    Default Updated~Glug smoosh squish...lalala

One of those days. Woke up at 4am with the toilet making major glub glub noises with the water jumping playfully in the bowl. The toilet is clogged... septic problems? Snaked & could only get so far, we're still trying to figure it out. We have had major rain & it is still raining. Heading outside to do your business when it's 33 degrees & pouring is just so um mm, invigorating!
Top it all off with stepping on a hacked up hair ball (courtesy of the cat)with my bare feet. That all happened before 5am. Creek is rising too.
Wonder what the rest of the day will bring.

The "glub, glub" nosies are a frightening sound at our house. We've had the house flooded with raw sewage 3 times now! State Farm finally dropped us last year because of all the claims. I hope yours is nothing near as serious.

    Still no toilet.
Listening to the scanner, many have it worse with water flooding their basement and having to buy a new furnace etc. This storm really has caused alot of damage, destruction & deaths as it traveled across the country. I haven't much to complain about.

I hope you get your toilet back soon, that would be a big inconvenience.

We had that around 5am this morning... and since I'm not used to septic systems I was worried... but because of the insane weather lately my husband shrugged it off as pressure changes. My fahter-in-law agreed. He said that when it starts flushing by itself is when we have to get the house blessed.

    ...such a smartass.

Hey guess what is in front of my front door? Now we can wait out the problem.
Nothing says welcome like a porta potty at your front door.
What's neat about this one (if there really is anything neat about them) is that it's brand new, lol. I was the first user, lmao. It works!

Yes, really really. I'll take a pic for you, lol. We now have had almost 6" of rain over the past few days and the septic couldn't handle it. Joys of living away from others.
Gotta be self sufficient & sometimes that means calling to have a porta potty put just outside your front door.

Gotta tell ya, Darlene...you have got the best attitude out of anyone I have ever "met." Very refreshing (as is taking care of business in the chilly weather, I imagine.)

    Oh Darlene,
I feel for ya. Septic trouble is no fun, especially when it's flooding or pouring rain, or the power is out. You get the idea. How are things tonight? Is it still raining? We have clay, solid clay soil, that is, man it gets real hairy here sometimes....LOL
BTW, I have had to use the outdoors a few times too. brrr!

Thanks for asking how it's going, happy to answer...
We've got flushdom! Tried it this morning & woohoo!
It's still raining off & on but the worse is over & good weather predicted thru the weekend. Later this am I'll be calling Fred's to come and take the porta potty away. Here's a link to a pic of it sitting outside my front door as promised.
