Boys First Communion

I need some info about what he has to wear to first communion.Does it have to be a suit with jacket?is tie and shirt enough?what colour?black ,blue.grey?Help Thanks

well, at first (catholic)holy communions here there is no set theme for boys but usually they wear a suit with shirt and tie, generally black although any colour is ok. I have my daughters in 4 weeks and she has top wear white dress etc

I know traditionally it matters... but I don't think there's a set guideline for boys. I've seen kids in white tux's and in Hawaii the boys (and girls) wore "Aloha" wear. Here, in Rhode Island, I've seen the boys wear nice slacks and a button down shirt. Nothing spectacular.

For my first communion I wore Army boots. ...but that was also just last year.
