Update~ Still no septic but the creek has crested. It went a little over the bank but that's ok. Had the sub pump working for a bit in the basement but we don't need it now. Hopefully later today the septic will be back to normal and we can flush, shower & run the dishwasher etc.
Was a bit chilly using the porta potty at 2am. Brr.~*Darlene*~

OMG..That is just as scary as not knowing if our home (we live in a 80 foot trailer) isn't gonna float away due to our very strong flowing stream thats not even 20 feet away from us....it also had small whole trees gushing through as well as lots of other debre...
Sure looking forward to the warmer weather along with no rain so I can enjoy one of my favorite things to do in the whole world...hanging my laundry on the line..LOL..

I was going to complain,(until I read Darlene's post-Yikes!!) We lost power, phone, and cable. A big tree hit the transformer by our house and caused a power surge of 7800 volts back into the house. The light at impact was just amazing. It fried the motor to the well, the garage door opener and a light down the cellar. Thank goodness for power surge equipment for the electronics in the house. We had no other damage-so we were lucky-I guess this could have fried our entire electrical, but it grounded itself. The power came back on late yesterday, the phone today, and as I am typing this, the cable guy is here-Yeah! Lots of closed roads due to downed trees and unfortunately as claimsgirl66 said, a couple of deaths.
It is pouring again here-hopefully the sun will shine soon.
