Where is the Peter Pan peanutbutter????
For the longest time my family has ate peterPan peanutbutter...we loved the taste and it was the only soy-free peanut butter available. About 3 months ago, the stores pulled all of it off of their shelves due to the contamination scare. Now here it is, months later and not one store here has any in stock..nothing...nada...zip.We had been getting the stuff at sam's...a 6 lb container for 6.27....and to make matters worse, I have a couple of peanutbutter addicts here(including me). I live in Corpus Christi...a big place that should have more of a variety to choose from...& the only place that I know of that still sells Peterpan is sam's in victoria...that is about a 2 hr drive.
Also...The big 6lb 12oz cans of applesauce have disappeared from every store here too...they seemed to have disappeared about the same time that Peterpan did...is anyone else experiencing the lack of availability of some products...or is it just the retarded place that I live???

I'm with you! I miss my Peter Pan peanut butter. I don't like any of the other kinds. I bought a couple and ended up making peanut butter cookies because I didn't like the taste for just a sandwich!!

If I remember correctly, it's not due back on shelves until July.

Maybe the manufacturer is still correcting whatever the problem was. I don't even remember what that was. (??)
Anyway, in the meantime have you tried Skippy Peanut Butter? We love it and that is what I buy. That is a good deal what you paid. I get (2) 40 oz. jars (double pack) for between $6.99 - $7.99.
I hope they stock Peter Pan again soon!

Not sure if you have these options where you live but what about Kraft All Natural PB or PC (Presidents Choice) Organics? Or PC Just Peanuts PB? I have yet to open mine but it looks really 'natural'. Im hoping I like it.

The Wal-Mart brand was pulle dwith Peter Pan because it came out of the same vat (where the roof was leaking over it) ......This is what I was told at Wal-Mart when i broght mine back. But ya know Wal-Mart brand is back on the shelf and Peter Pan isn't here. .....Makes me wonder.

My guess is that they are trying to figure out how to market it again, now that people know the Wal-Mart brand is the exact same thing. I can't imagine that it will sell as well now. Why not just buy the generic and save a few pennies since it's the same thing?
