asking law enforcement...
If you ask someone if they are with law enforcement in the United States, do they legally have to tell you the truth if they are?

From what I understand....undercover cops do not have to disclose their identity.

NO. My husband, a cop, is sitting here with me and he says that they do not have to answer "yes" to that. That's a popular myth.

LOL, that's funny you mention that. Every couple of months we have a police man talk to our scount group at church. This is always one of the first questions they ask.

Nope. If it's an undercover cop it can jeopardize his life and the investigation. Have you ever seen Cops when they do the prostitution sting? First thing the prostitute asks is are you a cop? Undercover always says no.....THEN WHAM! The ladies of the night are in jail.
