Had my MRI for my shoulder today
There must have been something the tech saw, because she asked what orthopedist I was supposed to be going to, and when I told her, she said "well, it looks like you'll be in good hands." Oh Lordy! What if it's bad? What if I need surgery? I'm going insane thinking about it now. It's going to spoil my whole weekend!
I have the films, but I wouldn't know what I was looking at, so no need to look.
I'll just have to wait until Monday, and see what happens. I'm going to pick up my elbow x-rays from the doctor tomorrow before work, and then I have the appointment on Monday.
To top it all off, my knees are KILLING me with all the climbing and stooping I have to do at work now. I'm going to mention it to the orthopedist, and maybe he can take x-rays of them too.
My body is just falling apart! I'm off in a while to get some glucosamine/choindroitin to add to my other stuff I take every day now. I think maybe I'm just vitamin deficient, because honestly, I don't eat very well. Everyone thinks I eat so healthy, because I usually have a yogurt and fruit for lunch, but in the morning it's Cheerios, and in the evening, nothing very nutritional.
I really need to start working on my diet. How did I get from MRI to diet? Strange.

Yikes, don't you just LOVE little "teasers" like that - just enough to alarm and worry you ALL weekend?! Ahhh!
Hopefully it won't be as bad as you're imagining.
Make sure you're taking a daily multivitamin, too

The best thing you could have done was to have an MRI, they show SO much more than just an Xray, and it gives the surgeon heaps more info to fix the problem. Don't panic just yet - but its best to get things fixed when you are still relatively young than have to worry about it for the next 20 years, finally agreeing to have it done when you are 63 and the risks are much higher.
I had an MRI for a shoulder reconstruction a few years back.

I know it's hard not to worry. I'm sending some prayers and good vibes your way. And by the way, 55 is not old!!
