Default Laid out of work today

I'm so depressed. I cried and cried last night, big gulping sobs, and couldn't sleep at all.

I went to the orthopedist yesterday, and he wants to do surgery to remove the pins in my left elbow, because he thinks one of them is cutting into the tendon. I know Worker's Comp is not going to allow this, and I can't afford it. He says it doesn't require any time off of work. He tried to give me oxycontin yesterday, but I said no. I took that stuff once, and it made me psychotic.

My shoulder, which bothers me much more, simply needs time to heal. The muscle is "frayed" in the front (where the pain is) and it's torn in the back. Again, all I can do to let it heal is not use it, and I can't do that at work.

I'm going to have to get really serious about getting a desk job, or find some way to make money from home, and cut back on the hours I work at my job. The bad part is, I need the benefits I have there. They are not going to let me do what I'm doing forever, and if I can't go back to cashiering, I'll have to be laid off if they can't find me another job in a store nearby that doesn't require all that repetitive motion with my arm and shoulder.

I'm going to clean off my back porch today, and then invite my friend down to sit and have a glass of wine this evening. I need the relaxation. I'm going to ask my primary doctor to give me antidepressants. I know WC won't allow that either, but I've got a $15 copay on my insurance, so that shouldn't be too bad.

I'm just going to get myself together and start SERIOUSLY looking for another job. Hard to find around here. Complicated by the fact that I have a very old car, and unless I can find something that pays really well, I won't be able to get another one that can take a long trip to work. In order to make decent money, I'll have to travel to Sarasota, where all the good jobs are, an hour away.

Hey- I have just started doing some "get paid to" kind of websites (started yesterday actually!) and have already made $60 in just a few hours. If you want more info, LMK - I haven't paid a dime (I've just been doing freebie offers) and it's super easy (just kind of tedious since a lot of it is the sammmmmmme stuff over and over) but if you're interested, drop me a PM. Most of the sites pay via Paypal or check
