Default Anyone heard of the 'Forever' Stamp

From what I read online you can purchase these now for 41 cents but they wont have the price on the stamp. And no matter how much or when the stamps go up again, the forever stamp will still work.SO like if you bought 50 today for 41cents and put them back,if postage goes up any, which im sure it will you can still use these 41 cent stamps....

I think I might get some when I have extra money and stockpile em lol

The will continue to be sold, however if the price goes up you will then have to buy them at that price (say if the raise it from .41 to .45 next year) but you can still use the ones you purchase now forever, and any you purchase in the future for any price forever

It's almost like buying stock, haha!

I send a lot of postcards though, and those stamps just keep going up and up.

I'm a Letter Carrier and asked that same question at work. There's no need to stockpile until just before the next rate increase. The forever stamp will always be available at whatever the current rate is. For example if the rates are going up on October 8, you can buy the forever stamp at the current rate through October 7. I am really happy with this innovation. I use very few stamps, and always have to buy the piddly little additional stamps. I bought a card of twenty 39 cent stamps probably three or four months ago, and have 14 of them left. I will buy the forever stamps from now on.

I work in the envelope industry, so I had a heads up on this one - it was proposed about 5 years ago and took them this long to get it into circulation. It's supposed to help all the last minute printing and ramp-up for the rate increases - think long lines to buy $.02 stamps -

When we start carrying stamps at work again, those are the ones we are going to get instead of the ones that have the price on them.

I bought a roll of them almost a year ago, which is probably enough to last me a lifetime, I only mail things out like twice a year.
