How modest were you around your family during your teenage years?
I think, I was too modest Besides my parents' bedroom, the bathroom was the only other room with a lock on the door. So, I would always get dressed/undressed in there. I was afraid that my parents or my 3 younger siblings would enter my bedroom while I was getting changed.
As a teen, I rarely wore anything that was revealing/skimpy
During the summer season, I'd wear a 2-piece bathing suit at the beach but once I got out of the water I wore a t-shirt and shorts over it. I think, I even probaly wore my shirt & shorts in the water too. I didn't like wearing 1-piece bathing suits that much.

I wasn't modest when younger and liked skimpy clothes. Now that this bod isn't as... ummm... attractive... coverage is a good thing. Trust me.

Sharing a room with 2 sisters not modest at all. In front of everyone else very modest. I was rather large breasted as a teenager and was embarrassed by it. With 2 brothers and their friends always hanging around we were taught to cover up, even in the mornings we wore bathrobes straight out of bed. And bra less? Never!
I never wore a two piece bathing suit and my mother would have gone through the roof at any thing skimpy.

growing up it was just my mom sister and me so we werent too modest at home. i did go through a skimpy clothes phase briefly in high school, but it passed fairly quickly.

Just as modest them as I am now. Back then it was me, mom and sis. Now I have teens and an SO at home. I always wear a housecoat (thinner one in summer) over my pjs. When swimming, I normally wear an old pair of my son's swim trunks and a tankini top. If we are out at a water park or something, then I wear a t-shirt too.
People at work assume I am a "ultra conservative religious" person because I wear skirts that are mid-calf to ankle length and usually long sleeved, buttoned up shirts. It isnt a religious thing for me, but I am just more comfortable being more covered.Nana to Logan, Ryver, Robbie, Grant and Dennis

I grew up with three younger sisters, so I wasn't overly modest at home. I'd change in front of them and walk around the basement without a shirt while getting ready etc. Outside of the house I've always been modest. I don't think that revealing clothes are attractive on anyone. I think you can look great and in style and alluring and STILL be modest.

My stepdad molested me from age 8-17. I was beyond modest at home and everywhere else while growing up. Not that it helped.
Now that the SOB is dead, DH and I tend to run around stark nekkid at home (meaning our house) at Momma's I dress very modestlyLast edited by FrugalWitch; 05-24-2007 at 12:41 PM.

I find that I'm less modest now than I was when I was younger. Then, I was VERY modest and didn't wear skimpy outfits, only wore one piece swim suits, etc. Unfortunately, now that I'm much more comfortable with my body, my body no longer looks like it did when I was a teen so it's really in everyone's best interest for me to stay away from skimpy outfits.
At home, I never run around in my "altogether" unless it's just DH and I.
