After 3 blissful weeks, I'm back.
Hey everyone. I just wanted to say hi real quick and let you all know that I'm back..although you may not have even realized I was gone....

Just over three weeks ago, my fiance (who is a German citizen and lives in Germany where he's finishing up schooling before we bring him to the States and get married) arrived for a visit and stayed with me until this past Sunday. Our time together was awesome and our relationship is doing wonderfully.
I had three weeks of time off from both of my jobs, and during the time he was here I graduated college and moved to a new apartment for the summer.
During his time here, I let my hair down. I let myself enjoy life and my time with him. I ended up putting more on my credit card than originally planned, but my fiance agreed to send me more money than he owes me, in order to help me pay it back.
Now that he's gone back to Germany, we're both incredibly unhappy. Although there is a tiny chance I might go to Germany in July (his dad is getting married, and might fly me over to the wedding - his dad knows that neither I nor my fiance can afford to pay the ticket ourselves), we most likely won't see eachother until January now. I'm trying to readjust to my life without my fiance by my side...and it's tough. In order to pay my credit card bill and save up money, I'm working 60+ hours a week (this week it will be 64-65 hours in six days between 2 jobs). Thankfully this keeps me busy most of the day and keeps my mind off of the emptiness left where my fiance has been in the last weeks, but when I go home at night, it's horrible... It will get better though, with time. It always does. At least a little... and it helps to know that I'm so happy that my fiance gets a chance to get the schooling he is getting in Germany. It's worth all the hardship, definitely...
Anyways, enough of my sob story. I just wanted to say hi, and let you all know (in case you were wondering) that I didn't fall off the face of the earth. I did fall off the frugal band wagon a bit, but I'm crawling back on now. And a little falling isn't so bad sometimes. I don't have internet at home right now, but there is a library nearby that lets me use the internet free for 60 minutes a day (and only 60 minutes a day..they have a timer). I'll be in here as I can to check this board and stuff... I'm working on getting my internet at my new apartment, and will probably have it within 3 weeks...
I hope everyone out there is doing great! Have a good week.

So glad you both had some "quality time" together.
Remember that stuff when those bumps in the road come along and it won't seem so rough.

Welcome back! I've done the long distance relationship thing for a year and a half (I lived in Finalnd, DH here in the States while we were engaged) and I know it is HARD! But so worth the wait.

Thanks for the replies everyone. My hard work week finally got up to me today, after 42.5 hours in 4 days... but I'm just going to keep plugging away and with time I'll get more used to it. And I'm still thankful for it - I need the money AND I really don't want to be at home being lonely and sad.
Have a good memorial day weekend everyone!
p.s. the hard work summer will be worth it when my credit card is paid off before I move to Texas in August, definitely.
