    Default Little Birdie's Obligatory Intro Post

    Hello!

    My name is Little Birdie. I live in a 1400 sq ft 1930's cape cod on 2.5 acres in central Iowa with my husband, daughter, and four cats.

    I've been lurking for a month or so looking for ideas and inspiration to save money. I figured I should go ahead and register so I can post.

    We have a (hopefully) temporary setback in husband's income, and we will (theoretically) get all his back pay, but in the meantime we are trying to live off my income.

    I track everything in an Excel spreadsheet. I'm learning to clip coupons and time them with sales. We are getting used to getting the cuts of meat that are on sale instead of just buying what we want.
