Need To Vent
I have been in kidney failure all my life. I got a transplant when I was 16. I am now 33 and am on dialysis and in need a another transplant. My husband was a perfect match last year but they did not do the transplant because they kept putting it off. Well now they retested him and he no longer matches because I was in the hospital in March and they had to give me blood transfusions. I was on life support and almost did not make it.Now I am scared to death because I have a 8 year old son I have to raise and have no idea where I am going to be able to get a donor now. I also have a disease called Cystinosis and have to take medicine for it so that my other organs wont fail. since I am on dialysis I can no longer take this medication until I get a transplant. Could every one keep me in thier prayers and pray that I will find a kidney donor soon.

thank you for the prayers. I have been in and out of the hospital ever since I was 18 months old and am scared that something is going to happen to me and I am going to leave my son.

Hi, and welcome. My DH is on dialysis and is waiting for a transplant, although because he's diabetic he's on the list for kidney/pancreas. I am PM'ing you the website to the best dialysis support group around. I hope you check it out. While you're there, search for some posts on IVIG, it can help you get a transplant from your husband even though you have antibodies. A member named Jill D. had it done. ((HUG))
