Default Lethal toothpaste;40 deaths in Panama

I just read on MSN that there's a toothpaste throw away alert for toothpaste made in China. It's sold in Dollar Plus stores in Miami and Todo a Peso in Puerto Rico.

So far, no deaths here in the U.S. Officials are concerned with toothpaste sold a bargain outlets. Here's the link:

Yeah I heard about that on the news yesterday, you can go to the fda.org website to get the list of toothpastes. It's a shame though, what next?

Can't say I'm really surprised. When you (general you) buy goods made in a country with little to know governement regulations...this is what you get. Like Tracy, I wonder what's next and what it will take for people to open their eyes.

My concern with all the recalls is:
Even if it says made in USA how much of the product is USA made and how much of the product content has been shipped into USA and then manufactured here into tubes and bottles. I get the FDA recall email and everyday there is something else being recalled for one reason or another. I've got at least a years worth of toothpaste and after that its back to baking soda. If the US doesn't stop trading with countries like China as far as food stuffs, hygiene materials etc goes then we are in for a rude awakening. Most countries that we deal with do not have the same FDA type of governmental agencies in play and we are going to be the brunt of an all out
attack on our soil. Maybe not through bombs, planes etc. but through our everyday products that we use. It would be a slow process but an affective one.
