Thumbs up Cute story from dd's party!

At my dd's birthday slumber party yesterday, I made her a homemade cake, with vanilla frosting a sprinkles. Two of the little girls, they are kind of wealthy, said "What's that?"
    I said "Homemade cake"
They said "We've never seen that before, we won't like it"
I said "Just try a bite, and if you don't like it you don't have to eat it"

WELL! They ended up having three slices each! They couldn't wait to tell their mom that they had "homemade" cake and want her to make some! It was so funny!

My dd was appalled that they never had homemade cake!

Oh, thats a nice story............kinda sad though in a way. You know what I remember growing up and all my teachers and the kids wanting me to always sign my Mom up for class party treats, even back then a lot of moms didn't make homemade stuff.......I have always felt quite proud of her......

Sounds like your daughter is proud of you too.

Funny. My kids always want the homemade kind and we've had store bought before. Makes you feel good inside!

Homemade is always better when it comes to baked goods! Sounds like you helped these girls to see the light!
