It took SS less then a month to denied me and send out the same denial letter just a different date. It makes me so angery. A form letter. Can I scream? Please pretty please

It generally takes 3 years or more to get SSDI, even with a lawyer. But yes, you can scream.

in general SSi is slow to get. Don[t give up. The Administrative law judge will probably be the last step you will need to take.

Vent away...
I have heard its hard to get SSI.
I have a friend who's daughter gets SSI, but is up for review soon. Does anyone know if the review is just as hard as getting it in the first place?

So sorry Fern. I really hope the judge awards it to you.
As far as the review, I have a friend that is on SSD (social security disability), and his review came up and they didn't even make him see a doctor or anything. They just sent a letter with a few questions.

My lawyer was surprised that they denied me is less then a month..... All they sent was a form letter......... My grandson is on SSI. He has down syndrome. He's going to be 10 in Sept and he can now count to 10 with a few mistakes and write a B the first letter in his name. He's only been talking the last 3 years. So he's doing great............ I would have given p after the 2nd denial thats why I hired a lawyer.

I can SO relate to this! I am still having the same dang issue with SSI. Oh and they approved me for a few months then AFTER the Drs. they sent me to said, "I may be able to return to school", denied! Funny thing is, they did not check the records that pertained to Spinal Cord Injury, neuropathy and multiple other medical issues I deal with now as me. Then, next denial I read closer and it said, "you have received correct treatment for your condition(meaning my broken neck @C1-2), yeah, fusion bolted my neck back on(sorta straight
) but left out reasearching current condition and medical records and not as if SCI and you can get an antibiotic and be "well".
I had requested a formal hearing and do you think they have any record or that? No(of course I have so much of my medical and legal records now, I can not find it). I also, gave them sets of visits from my current Dr. revealing neuropathy as an additional diagnoses.
Now, doing the same as you are. In the mean time though, it kind of leaves you hanging and can not get medical treatment you NEED!
It is such a fouled system afterall!
Get this, the first time I applied they souly based denial on dh's income(which was nearly $20 grand less they SSI said he woudl make), not even considering at the time, I required 24 hour care, could not even eat on my own, stand, turn myself, dress myself and it went on. I had to actually move out and away from my husband and children to get them to reconsider.
Odd too, as I have talked to the director of DDS, Brain and spinal cord injury program and they are BOTH in offices on the same floor
and still fouled up even what state to look for my records in.
It is a lengthy, time consuming and emotional draining process(many actually end up worse health wise by approval) but you do what you have to do!!!!
Good luck with yours and scream away, I am with ya!!!!
