Weather Roll Call
It was really muggy yesterday until a cooler front moved through, and boy did it. About 6pm it came roaring in, hail, wind, rain, thunder, lightening.
Power went out then heard a snap at our pole that has a transformer on it. No fire or anything, just a loud snap. Power was out until 11, glad it wasn't longer.
We were using the rotisserie on the grill at the time so dh had to get out the generator to keep it turning. I swear he thrives on being self suffecient. Hooked up the fridge & a light to it too.

It was hot, hot, hot yesterday! High reached 99 degrees. Thunderstorms moved through last night and cooled it down some, only supposed to reach the mid 80's today. More importantly the storms cut the humidity. Thank goodness. Maybe today I will leave the house.

Today's weather is gorgeous! Mid-60s, sun is shining, glorious day!
Yesterday was hot & muggy, then we got a little rain in the evening. Nothing like the storms further south though.

Yesterday (Tuesday) it RAINED!
We very desperately needed it. We got a good hard shower... I didn't hear any thunder, but our power flickered several times, so I guess it was storming across town somewhere.
This morning it's sunny & expected to be up around 82 with lower humidity than we've had... thank goodness.

Yesterday we got the first significant amount of rainfall in over 6 weeks. Since May 1st we had only had 1/2 inch and yesterday we got between 1/2 inch and 1 inch. They say it could rain daily for the next month and it won't be enough to do any good - just too darn dry. I water my yard daily and they are about to put us on mandatory water restrictions. That is gonna stink for me.
Today it is back to normal for us - high in the 90s, dry and sunny.DD (19)

High 80's here. It's supposed to rain for the next few days, which is a great thing. We need it desperately.

Only one word for Florida this time of year....HOT! We're finally getting rain, which is nice, but with the heat, if we don't get it for a day or two, I have to water the yard anyway.
