Sssoooo aggravated at myself
but a little relieved as well.
Yesterday I had an appointment downtown. I had been really busy all morning and was just barely gonna make it on time for the appt. anyway...so I run out, hop in the car and back out of the driveway...something.wasn't.right. Look back toward the house and see a black mark in the driveway and am thinking what the h...??? I have a flat, completely flat tire and I backed out of the driveway on it. Had to slowly drive back into the driveway and thought for a sec. what to do now. Gripey was in Kansas on a bus. trip for the day. The work truck was in front of the house so I run in and yep, no keys.... . I call our hired man and he runs me a set of keys, I get to the appt. about 5 minutes late. Ok the hired man comes back and airs up the tire and follows me to the tire shop. They say yeah they'll fix it in a little bit. I go get him later to drive the work truck back to the office after I get my car. My car's not ready yet. The tire is ruined...!!! Hence my aggravation. If I had been paying attention I could have avoided that. I had known that the tire was leaking for a while and just kept airing it up....it was a new tire, bought at Sam's. The tire shop doesn't have anything that matches so I said just put the spare on it and I'll get a new one when I go to town. They pull the spare out and it's no good! I've never had the spare out before so I am relieved that I know I needed another one while not sitting on the side of the road somewhere....grrrhhh. That would have seriously ticked me off. Anyway, I had to buy a used tire to have put on and to keep as a spare. Next week I'll take the other tire back and see if I can collect road hazzard on it from Sam's. What a pain.......
Fingers crossed for me please.

Things like that just grate against me too. And I know, I KNOW that if I just stayed on top of things I can avoid the aggravations.

You do sound frustrated, don't be too hard on yourself, lesson learned. Glad you found out about the spare.

To lighten your load & make us both smile...tell me about the cabana boys in Cozumel...

Man, I hate when stuff like this happens. At least you were at home though and not stranded on the side of the road like you mentioned. I'm thinking I should get hubby to check out my spare and make sure it's O.K..

What a great way to start the day!?!?! At least you learned that the spare wasn't any good before having to sit on the side of the road in the heat!!
Fingers crossed that Sam's replaces it.~*Michelle*~
