Potlucks...

I love potlucks because I love trying what everyone brings. But, I also hate them because I can never figure out what to bring.

I have a Solstice Gathering tomorrow and my friend suggested that I make brownies. I have a vanilla brownie recipe that I make sometimes. She suggested that I make it "Ying Yang brownies" (without the fancy swirl part). I made them in a 9x13 glass pan so you could see the "half and half" aspect of it. I put the white brownies in first because the batter is thicker. I just halved the pan by sight (it isn't perfect) and then I poured in the box chocolate brownies. I put a dollop of the other color in the appropriate spot.

They turned out pretty cute!! And, they are even sort of fancy looking. I had batter left over and so I made a little pan (9x9) of the ying yang brownies too.

sounds yummy and would be very appetizing. Nothing wrong with bringing brownies. gotta love choc!!!!

I love potlucks too and I try to take along a big batch of brownies to every potluck I attend. Yours sound so yummy, and I know they will be a big hit. You go, eat and be merry and watch those brownies vanish, LOL.
