Default Long time member finally returns....

    Hello everyone...

If you are new to this site I would like to welcome you. I know you will find it very helpful.

I have been out of touch for a while and wanted to take a moment to say hello and I'mmmmmm bbbbaaaacccckkk!

I would also like to take a moment to say thank you to everyone on this site who has provided me with support, especially over the last year. The past 18 months have been very difficult.

There is a saying that God does not put any more on us than we can bear...Well sometimes I wonder how much God thinks I can take.

What follows is the "short-story" of the past 18 months...

    * In December '05 (2 weeks before Christmas) we found out my Mom had lung cancer. It was a devistating blow for all of us.

    * In January we found out my Mother's brother had Hodgkin's disease.

    * In February '06 I had the worst case of bronchitis I have ever had. I had to go to the doctor 1 - 2 times per week for 5 weeks. I missed almost the entire month of work.

    * In April I was mowing my lawn and pulled a muscle in my back, with then pinched my sciatic nerve and I was literally in the bed for about 3 weeks. I have never had such pain in all my life.

    * May 4, 2006 I was fired from my job of almost 10 years because of all of the work I had missed.

    * In the middle of May they had to stop Mom's chemo because she had developed neuropathy (numbing of her feet...). Because she could no longer feel her feet, she had to stop driving and had some problems getting around.

    * The first week of July, my Mom's brother passed away.

    * The last week of July my Dad was diagnoised with throat cancer.

    * August 30, 2006 my Dad passed away.

    * Near the beginning of September, I reinjured my sciatic nerve putting me back in bed for 3 weeks.

    * During late September, my Mom's doctor gave her approximately 4 months to live

    * During October I moved to VA (keeping my home here in TN) to take care of Mom.

    * January 2007 my car was repossessed (since I wasn't working, I couldn't make payments and my Mother could not make them for me). But here is the "humor" of this incident...the company I had my car financed through (AmeriCredit) would not work with me to keep the car, but said once they repossed it and sold it they would work with me to pay the remainder of the money I owed them....so they would not help me keep the car, but they would help me pay for the car I no longer owned...

    * During late March Mom got really bad...really out of her head. (The cancer was spreading rapidly at this point)

    * April 3, 2007 we had to put Mom in a nursing home

    * May 4, 2007 my Mother passed away

I am now back in TN looking for a job and seriously in debt...The people on this forum have listened to me vent and consoled me as I cried and gave me hope when I thought there was none. Words cannot express my gratitude to you for being there for me.

God Bless and keep you all!

Wow....That's all I can say right now, other than the fact that you are a strong person to have handled all of that in so short of a time spam. I'm sorry, and if anyone deserves a break, it's you sweetie. May this new chapter in your life be filled with great hope, success and blessings.

Here's a big healing and I'm so glad you came back to us.

Goodness......that's a whole lot to go through in the course of a year and 1/2. I hope that only good things are coming your way for a very long time to come. Be good to yourself, try hard to look for the good things so you don't miss them when they come along.

First, let me say, Welcome Back!! You were missed!! Secondly, let me say, I am so sorry about all of the sadness you have endured during the last 18 months. I can relate to some of your pain, I too, have had a hard 3 years similar. It will take you awhile to catch your breath, be patient with yourself!! You obviously are a strong person to be able to come out of the last 18 months, with your sanity, but more importantly, HOPE!!!! You have HOPE!!!! Hope seems to have carried you this far........, you are in my thoughts and preayers. Stay strong and keep your HOPE alive!!!
