OK who are you !! Which 5 people are bidding on lunch with Warren Buffet. The bid right now is only 265,100.00. I know we all have that kind of money to spend on lunch. Check out the auction on ebay. It is number 290132518565 .

Actually I am from the Omaha area and probably could have dinner with him for a lot less. If I just would go to his favorite steak house Garots when he is there.

Did you all know what his license plates says??

It says THRIFTY

He never buys new cars. He likes Lincoln series cars.
He has lived in the same house for the last 20 years.
It is nothing fancy actually it could use a good paint job.

Well I'm not bidding but wouldn't that be just great to do? I had known how thrifty he was. I think his wife finally insisted that they build on like a 'family room' or something to this average sized house that they live in not too many years ago....

His wife actually died a couple of years ago. She spent a lot of her time I think in New York or some place else before she died.

Former Bellevue girl here! He also lives in a $250,000 house-which is pretty thrifty when you're one of the 10 richest men in the world! I saw him at a stockholder's meeting (I was working concessions and snuck away to watch). Him and Munger are so funny together. He also likes the Dairy Queen by Johnny's Cafe.

He's also a (pardon my french) jackass who tells people they shouldn't tip their service people (servers, valet, bartenders, the like) because "why should he pay their wages"

I live in Bellevue. Small world

If he likes the Diary Queen by Johnny's Cafe he won't be getting any Ice Cream there. It is a Taco Something or another. That area of Omaha is becoming an area that the hispanics are taking a liking to.

I know- Omaha is changing so much! Every time I go there to visit my family it's so different!
