Default Maybe THIS Is Why I'm Strange!

There are a lot of weird coincidences surrounding me.

My mom, who as I said turns 50 this year, was born on July 1st. My father, was nine years older than her to the day, having been born on July 1st as well!

I was born on November 4th, the same day as my grandfather on my Dad's side.

    I was born at 11:11 p.m. in November -- 11th minute, 11th hour, 11th month.

My father died on November 1st, and was buried on November 4th... my birthday.

My father was a darker skinned man with thick black hair and a thick black mustache. My mom always said he looked a lot like Tom Selleck (Magnum: P.I., or Richard from Friends. Last year, took me out to a restaurant on my birthday and who should walk into the restaurant for supper on the only night I've ever dined in this restaurant... than Tom Selleck.

    Kinda weird, eh?

My husband has a weird story with his birthday. His uncle Tom died at age 18 from an accident. His father said he would name his first boy after him. After three girls he was born. His uncles bday was 9/25/36, my husband's is 9/25/63. His 9th grade english teacher was his uncles friend and looked like he saw a ghost the day my husband walked into his class. Very strange! but then again so is my hubby!

Sorry, I hit the post reply thingy and couldn't edit my post. Anyhoo, I was about to say faint, LOL.

Anyone remember Tom Selleck as the Marlboro Man? That was one fine looking cowpoke! Made me wanna learn to ride them ponies and smoke cigarettes. Yeah, till the first drag and I figured out green ain't my color.

I did date a guy who looked like Tom though. Guy was dumb as a stump and couldn't find his way out of a wet paper bag with both ends open. Live and learn.

Sorry ya'll, had a flashback there. Yep, both of your stories do seem to have some weird coincidences surrounding them. Oh, here's another one I just noticed. Ubumartin's Dh's uncle that he looks just like was named Tom. Get it? Uncle Tom and Tom Selleck! :surprise:

    Coincidence?

Wow, strange, but somehow sweet too. LOL, I bet you two were freaking out when all of these coincidences started coming out. How long were you two dating before you realized this, LOL?

I married and divorced a stump that looked like Tom Selleck! Never really liked Tom Selleck. LOL! Anyway...

I dated a guy who had the same birth month and day as me but different year. He had to show me his driver's license to prove it because I didn't believe him and thought he was just trying to pick me up. Alas, we weren't at all alike so he didn't last more than 2 weeks but was a good friend.

My dd is born on Nov 4 and her Great Gran was Nov 4, too.

I wonder if Tom Selleck's ears are burning right now? LOL

My granny used to say that if your ears were burning, someone was talking about you.

Oh, I have a weird coincidence in my family as well. LOL, I almost forgot about this. My sister and my DH's momma gave birth to my nephew and DH at the same hospital, same day and they were both born at exactly the same time. LOL, we checked their birth certificates once. DH's mom and my sister became friends at the hospital, became close through the years, and it was through my sister and nephew that I met DH, when we were teenagers and I used to come up from Florida to visit my sister and her family.

My husband and I have the same birthday except he is a year older. My siblings and I were all born within three weeks of each other. My baby brother and my older sister were born 10 years and 2 says apart. My baby brother was born on 11/11/77 and my dad is a Vietnam veteran. My three boys were born within 2 years and 2 weeks of each other.

And, I hate to tell people this, but my twins were born on different days. One came out around 7 pm and the other was born a few min after 12 am.

My husband & have so much in common, it's weird:

*both Italian moms, Irish dads, Catholic
*dark hair, eyes, skin... several times asked if we are brother & sister
*fathers were both foremen at the local steel mill
    *mothers were both 37 years old when we were born;
*both of us are the youngest in our families, with 10 years between us & closest sibling (in other words... both accidents!) with 2 boys & 1 girl in each family
    *same high school, political party...

I could go on and on. Last week I was reading about lunar calendars and I realized we were both born under the same exact moon!

We've been together over 20 years and I can count our arguments on one hand.
