I have a story that is a bit similar. Several years ago I was sitting in church on Sunday morning and I had this feeling I needed to give our pastor $500. I kept wrestling with the idea that I could give $100 or $200 but $500 was alot. Since it was on Sunday I knew I couldn't it from the bank and to do ATM I could only get $200 out at a time.

All I could think of all day was that $500. Then about 1/2 hour before church started I remembered that a new branch of our bank was opened in Wal-Mart. I couldn't get past needing to give the $500. So I went and withdrew $500 from savings - it was almost the entire savings account.

I went to church and went to the pastor's office before church started and told him I didn't know why but I had to give him $500. I told him that I tried really hard to "negotiate with God" about how much to give. I handed it to him and walked out the door.

I found out later that he had an unexpected bill come up for $500 so it was truly a blessing for him.

BUT THE REAL blessing was mine. A week later I received an unexpected check for more than $5000. It was from a company I had worked for a few years earlier. That money was a major blessing as we were in the process of buying a new house and we used it for the down payment.

A few years ago for a while we had moved to a new state. We were unhappy and homesick and didn't make a lot of money. My son and I went into a grocery store near our apartment while my husband waited in the car on us. While he was outside a man saying he was from some church who had been on a trip and their bus had broke down came up to my husband asking for money. Well we were not really in any shape to be helping anyone out but my husband felt he should so he gave the man ten dollars. Not a lot of money but when you don't have a lot it is. Anyway, when my son and I came out of the store there on the ground was a 20.00 dollar bill. I got in our car and told my husband about finding 20.00 and he told me how he had helped out that man. We figured the good Lord blessed us because we had tried to help someone else. He doubled the money we had gave. Ain't God good.

I am glad that this happened to you... This must mean that the 100.00 I just lost who knows where is really a blessing to someone else??? Maybe the blessing will be sent to me eventually. I am glad that the money came to you when you needed it... By the way I really did lose 100.00 on Friday... I hope the person who found it really did need it.... Thanks for sharing.
