Default Have you ever been so embarrassed that you cried?

i embarass myself pretty easily and frequently, which sometimes results in not full-blown crying but my eyes welling up with tears.

for example, far too often i find myself going out of my way for a laugh from my husband, acting like such a huge dork that when he finally starts to laugh, i get embarassed and my eyes tear up. strange.

We are emotional beings and I too can cry easily. Even when happy, lol. Hormones? Who knows, I just chock it up to caring and not worry about it much.

In college I had a boyfriend that came to see me and we went to have lunch in the cafeteria. We had been to church so I had on a dress and high heels. Well, as we are walking through the area where you get your food there was something slippery on the floor. My feet went out from under me and my dress went over my head!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, yes i was definately in tears over that one!! LOL

I was on a date once and we were driving and he parked the car. Somehow I was leaning on the door, and when he opened it, I fell out in the parking lot!! I tore my hose and skinned my knee, and yes, I had a few tears in my eyes from embarrassment.

Other than the tears from laughing so hard at myself, no I don't have that reaction. I was actually trained as a clown, and I revert to it pretty naturally and it seems to kick into play for most embarrassments. I've been filling the gas tank and had the wind kick up and "pulled a Marilyn" as my friend put it (think white dress over vent - Monroe), I flipped over in my chair (complete with chair stuck to my butt) in front of someone I was working on a project with and surfaced with my head in his crotch - what CAN you say? and he was CUTE too! I've had someone turn loose of me dancing while I was spinning fast and I ended up on one thigh but with my torso up and one arm extended so that, though unplanned and hurting like crazy, everybody else thought it was a REALLY sophisticated dance move, and I've been blown off a cliff and wafted down about 3 stories to a parking lot below - for which I got nicknamed the flying nun. There are others - my life seems to be filled with off-the-wall embarrasing moments. I've just learned to tell tehm and smile - and I get asked to alot of parties!
