Do you ever feel like you want to go back and "start over"?
*Sigh* maybe I am just worn out...DH's grandmother passed recently (she was a wonderful woman) and so we have been busy with family functions...not to mention my fulltime job, our farm, kids, activities, etc.
But, I am wondering that if I could go back, would I have made the same choices? I mean, I love my home, but I think I would have built something smaller since we actually don't use all the rooms all the time. I have been cleaning and decluttering...but we still have so much stuff. A lot of it is gifts or hand-me-downs but I guess with the bigger house I tend to keep more stuff. A small house would have been less of a mortgage too. We live in an area with lots of family and love our place...so we wouldn't ever sell....but just thinking out loud I guess...maybe when the kids are teenagers I will be happy they have their own rooms, LOL!

Sometimes I DO wish I could go back and start over. There are a few changes I would make like starting a savings when DH and I were first married and not wasting money on unneccessary items. I would love to have all that money back.

I also wish I could start over, well atleast in this time of my life I wish I could. I would have changed many things, but if you find a time machine and want to take a ride, give me a call.

I can safely say that every decision I have ever made in my life was the right one. Why? Because without the decisions I had made, I would not have met the love of my life, realized what a good man is and what a good man is not, have a wonderful home with my sweet kitties, be healthy and virtually stress-free, or have developed a stronger and more comfortable relationship with my mother. I regret absolutely nothing in my life -- I'd never be as happy as I am today without having suffering for it beforehand.

I have thought quite often about the what ifs in my life but then I look at what I do have.... a husband and 4 kids that I dearly love...and know that if I went any other way I wouldn't have the family that I do have and there isn't a do over worth having that could take my family away.

I like my life. I agree with Naderbug and justpeachy92. Without the trials I have had throughout my life, I would not be who I am today.

I think that every decision makes us who we are.
That being said if I could go back I would.

I would have been a better me earlier in life. I would have done better in school, made better choices in my teanage years (which I thank God everyday that my children are good students, good kids and staying out of trouble) I made some very bad choices when I was their age. I would have gone to college. I am who I am because of it but I wish I could take that young stupid girl I was and shake some sense into her!!

About the only thing I would do differently is never charge or finance "stuff".
I wish I knew then what I know now. I would only buy after saving enough to pay cash for it. Oh well, you live and learn.
