What is the most that you are willing to pay in ATM fees in order to withdraw $20 from your bank account?
I usually get cash back at the grocery store or gas station for no fee or use the credit union ATM for no fee. If I must use a machine with a fee ($2-2.50 around here) I take out at least $60 because I refuse to pay a 10% fee to get $20!

I've never used one, lol. Just figured if I wanted/needed cash I'd get it the old fashioned way and talk to a teller. I wouldn't want to pay a fee to access my money either. Most places take my cc (& I use it for almost everything I buy)& that's something I pay in full every month and earns me cash back. I really like using their money for a short time and them paying me for it. Usually I earn 1% (on all purchases) but right now (July-Sept) I'm earning 5% cash back bonus on buying gas, woohoo.

We belong to a small credit union with only one location in the entire city (and we live in a LARGE city). We have access to two ATMS we can use for no fee. Even with limited access to ATMs, it is rare I pay a fee. By planning ahead I am able to usually avoid paying any fees. I have been known to go into a Walgreens or a Wal-Mart for just a pack of gum or a diet soda and use my debit card so that I can get some cash back and avoid a fee.
However, if I am having an unorganized day and there is no place to get some cash out (like a WM or Walgreens) I will pay whatever the bank charges. I'm not going to drive all over just to "save" a little on ATM fees. First my truck gets around 10-12 mpg on gas and that would be silly to keep riding around for only a dollar or so. Second, if my day is so unorganized that I forgot to get money, then I am probably running late and don't have time to hunt down a cheaper ATM.
I only get out the amount I need, even if it is only $20-$30. I am not like others in that I blow money if I have cash, but if I have the debit card I don't. I am an A.C. Moore addict and I will go in there and spend, spend, spend if I have cash on me. I really try to avoid keeping cash on me if possible. The debit card works best for me.DD (19)

I have never used an ATM. I don't even know the PIN. We withdraw our budget cash at the beginning of the month in the bank. When it's gone, it's gone. We can always use our debit card if we have to.
All that to say, any fee is too high for me.

I would only pay in an absolute emergency. I get cash back at stores or go to my ATM machine. I also use my ATM for many purchases as it is a mastercard too.

The only time I can remember paying a fee is when we were in Jamaica for our wedding. I'm usually able to plan my errands around one of our credit union's ATMs.
I always use ATMs though. My debit card was lost, and for two weeks I had to visit the tellers to get money. It was horrible.
I didn't even know how to fill out the form. When I was 18 and opened a checking account, they gave me a debit card and that's all I have ever used.

I hate paying fees, and since I work for a bank, and get free banking, I now refuse to pay atm fees. I just do a withdrawal at work.
I try not to use my debit card too much, and prefer to carry cash now. You wouldnt believe how often debit/atm systems go down, and we see people scrambling to get cash. Add the identity theft or card skimming problems to the mix, and it's turned me into a cash carrier- which I wasnt before.

I have only withdrawn money with my ATM card 3 times. And I did it at the bank's ATM machine. Most of the time I use it to make a deposit when the bank is closed. I have never been charged a fee for using it. However, if I had an emergency, a real emergency, and needed the money, I would probably pay whatever to get it.

If I need cash I usually just stop by my local bank's atm machine. I only live a block from the bank so it's really handy. I don't think I've ever used a atm machine out of town.

If I need cash and the kids are with me I will pay up to $2. My bank is mostly in Grocery Stores and I don't want to drag both kids inside.

The maximum I am willing to pay is $0, unless it's an absolute emergency, then I guess I will pay whatever I have to. I don't use much cash but I am always willing to walk an extra block or two (or ten) to get to the correct machine if I need some.

Even in an emergency I will just go into a store and get cash back. I might have to pay for something but atleast I get something for my money.

I don't use the ATM but do have a card. I wouldn't pay to get my money out of the machine. I would just use my bank's ATM if I used one.

EverBank reimburses me the fees from any ATM I use so I can always just go to the nearest ATM and then send in my receipt.
