I was too tired to post this yesterday....
but I was in the hospital for the weekend. I got out yesterday morning. I have COPD. Not good. I am on lots of medications right now. Lots of steriods. I dod have the doctor give me a perscription for Chantrix which my insurance does NOT cover and it is $109 for a months supply but they say it will help me quit smoking.
The nurses blew out several of the veins in my hands trying to get i.v's into them. My hands are very black and blue but they will heal.
The steriods I am on keep me up so I am not getting alot of sleep.
I explained whats going on to the boys and they are being very helpful. They wrote my quit date on the calander and helped with the household chores etc. Anyway thats about it.

I have two very good friends who quit using Chantix. One didn't quite finish the second months supply before he no longer needed it and the other had a couple of pills left from the first month. Both have done well since the first of the year.
Feel better soon!!! Sending good vibes your way!!!

Glad you found out and are quitting smoking. I know those boys of yours love you & want you around for years & years to come. You take good care.
The cost of the meds are prob less than the cost of cigs & you'll be getting healthier. You can do this & we'll all be cheering you on.

I'm sorry to hear that you have COPD but it's wonderful that you're quitting. You can do this. My dh Gripey did it after 30 years of smoking. It was the most wonderful present he ever gave me. Hang in there....you're gonna love not smoking.

I hope you feel better soon HHUUGGSSSS It must be hard to quit, my hubby did years ago. It took him many times at least 4 times since i met him 16 years ago. But it as well worth it, he says he'll never go back to it.

I'm so sorry you aren't well, but glad you are being treated and cared for. I'm sure you can quit smoking, and there is no shame is needing help. They say it's harder to quit than heroin, and I'm just thankful I never started.
Now sugar is another story...that's my addiction!

Best of luck on this tough but worthwhile journey. Just take it one minute at a time and remember distractions, distractions, distractions!!!

Sorry to hear at your COPD but glad you quitting smoking. Use the money that you would have used smoking for a small present for you, maybe a massage or getting a peticure.
