FINALLY! Two days off in a row!
Well, today is "Get this &%@$& house clean" day, and tomorrow is "Clean the bird aviary" day. I can't believe I'm not working today. I have been closing on Wednesdays for MONTHS! So without t.v. to distract me, and with lots of discipline to stay off the 'puter, I'm gonna really get down and dirty and clean things that need it desperately!
Also, I applied for four days off next week so I can do even more. I just have to get things done, and one day off at a time isn't doing it. I can't even get one big project finished in one day! Then it all comes undone by my next day off.
So I'll try to check in just to say hi, but I'm not gonna spend much time playing. Just GOTTA get this crap done!
I have a friend who says he'll come over and fix all my plumbing for me, and clean my dryer vent. That will save me about $300, and he'll do it all for a good meal! That will cost me about $10!!! What would we do without friends? My plumbing has been broken for so long, I've forgotten what it's like to sit and soak in the tub. I'm gonna be sooooo happy to be able to do that!
Now I just need a friend who likes to garden...know anybody???

Hope you can get everything done. I enjoy having my days off in a row. I get more done that way.

I'm having to split my days off again, and you're right -- it seems that nothing really gets finished. Not to mention that it's hard to relax much and feel like you've had any leisure at all. Congrats on the stretch of time. I finagled to get three off in a row next week. Can't wait!

Good luck, and you have my sympathy. ALL of my time off work has been consumed with taking care of things for my mom, and my house begins to look like it's been vandalized! (Ok, that's really because I turned the couch over to get the cat out from under it, and then left town and still haven't set it back right - my bad!)
