Default ceiling in Living room fell

Well, not all of it, but a nice big chunk of it. DH was getting ready for work and just happened to look up and see that the drywall was falling down a little. Our air conditioning unit drip pan over flowed and seeped through the ceiling. About a half hour later, a nice two foot by two foot square piece fell on the floor. We had put a tarp down just for this if it happened. Wouldn't you know it, the paper on the drywall held it just long enough for it to swing and fall on the other side of the tarp, all over the floor and on my chair. I am not a happy camper. Dh had to miss work today and was on the phone all day. No one can come out until tomorrow. Not what we needed to happen right now.

Big hugs - I cannot blame you for being frustrated. I really hope it is fixed quickly and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

I would be frustrated, also. I do hope someone comes early tomorrow and gets if fixed for you.

Well, we had a company come out and put fans and a dehumidifier in the house to dry every thing out. The insurance guy will be here tomorrow and the A/C people will be here tomorrow too. It should only cost us the deductible on our home owners policy. That is still $250 more than I have right now. This crap always seems to happen to us. So, right now at least the hole is covered.

Arrrrg! So sorry this happened to you. Like others have said though, good thing you were not sitting in the chair when the ceiling decided to give way.
