How often do you go out with friends?
I never go out with friends
and prefer to stay home. I am going out tonight and do not want to go. I will have to get dressed, wash my hair, shave my legs.
When I get there it will be fun though.

I hardly ever go out with friends. I too would rather be at home. If going out for dinner, I would rather it be with my family.

We usually go out as a family with other families frequently. Usually it is more than once a week. Normally we are at the kids' sporting events with our friends whose children are also a part of whatever sporting event we are at. After ballgames or practices a bunch of us may go out to dinner or just hang around the ballfield for a few hours. The kids all play ball and the adults hang out, grill up some food and socialize.
DH and I may go out without the kids, but DH and I don't go out without each other normally. However, there are times I do not want to go to the ballfield to just hang out. When that happens, Dh and the kids still go.DD (19)

Does DH count? He's my best friend. But for purposes of this thread, I'll exclude him.
I hang out with girlfriends occasionally, maybe once or twice a year but we all work full time and have lives so its kind of hard to get together and go out or hang out just one on one.
DH and I do more of the hanging out with friends on a group level kind of thing. He and I have all the same friends and we're all (mostly) very close.“When you get to the end of all the light you know
and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown,
faith is knowing that one of two things will happen:
you will be given something solid to stand on,
or you will be taught how to fly.” - Edward Teller
“Our Earth is degenerate in these later days;
there are signs that the world is speedily
coming to an end;
bribery and corruption are common; children no
longer obey their parents;
every man wants to write a book and the
end of the world is evidently approaching.”
— From a translation of an inscription on
an Assyrian clay tablet, circa 2800 B.C.E.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.

Almost every Friday night we go out with our dance group. We are a group of friends about 60 of us that met at the same dance hall every frieday night to couples country dance. We often have parties on Saturday nights or go out to other events as a group. We enjoy each others company and have many common intrests.

I never really go out with friends, but we do have family bowling night every Monday night with a friend who owns the nearby spanish restuarant, but to me that's a routine not really a night out with friends but keeps my mind of things.

I don't really like to go out that much..I'm a homebody. DH likes to go out with the "boys" every couple months and thats fine. When we do meet friends it's usually on a motorcycle run on a weekend and we always ride to a place for lunch.

I'm about to go out with friends right now. During summer I think we all try to get out as much as we can together because during the school year it gets tough to get away from our work. I see them several times a week right now, but it's not always to go out at night to a bar or such. We have a dinner club during summer where each week one of us hosts a dinner for everyone else. So twice I've cooked for about 10 people, and all the other weekends I get a free home-cooked meal with friends.

With a former co-worker, maybe once every month or two for an early dinner, usually as a "thank you" to her for helping me with something (she's a lot younger, stronger, and more energetic than I am!) Rarely with anyone else. Like most of you, I'm a homebody.

Usually once a week, which is anything from lunch with a co-worker when we need a break. Or happy hour after work with some friends. However as I have gotten older, I am happy to go out for happy hour or dinner, and be home by 7 or 8 as I am old and need my beauty sleep!!
Then usually every other week I meet my mom for lunch or dinner also. Friend is in town this weekend so supposed to get together tomorrow night. It is going to be a pain parking downtown on a summer, Sat nite, but I know once I go, I will have a good time."The average pencil is seven inches long, with just a half-inch eraser - in case you thought optimism was dead." ~Robert Brault

Oy. Too frequently. The unmarried, urban life sort of thing. I'm trying to sucker them into a more frugal way of living, so we are doing more things at home. But nothing beats a dive bar during happy hour!
