    Default A big hello from the Midwest

    Good Evening Everyone!

    I finally did it! After several months of lurking in the village I decided to join you all. I feel like I know so many of you. You are truly inspiring and I cannot even begin to tell you how you have helped me change my life around.

    I have 2 children....DS13 and DD7.....I am a Christian and I work outside of the home (by my choice) and love my job.

    I stumbled upon FV while googling tips for "living on a budget"...and I found this wonderful community of loving and caring people.

    Two years ago my DH lost his job of 20 years...and was unemployed for 18 of those months. It was a terrible time and there were times I did not think we would survive. By the grace of God we did. Never in a million years did I think it would take this long for him to find a job. I guess (by the responses we heard for 18 months) he was over-qualified.

    He finally was offered a job in may and there appears to be a lot of opportunity for him. It's in a different field than what he was in...but he seems to really enjoy it.

    We lost just about everything....and we are starting over.
