    Default Defibulator

Went to the doctor today, I am getting my defibulator on August 7. If you want to say a little prayer that day, it will be greatly appreciated.
Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.

best wishes to you! i used to work for 4 heart/lung surgeons and they did this type of procedure all the time.
take it easy and try not to worry. i saw a lot of people who were greatly helped by this. make sure to ask your doc anything you are worrying about--my docs always gave out pamphlets explaining things. and i always told people to write down questions they think of while they are home so that they didn't forget them when in front of the doc. it may feel awkward/embarassing but it can be a great time-saver for the doctor too since you know what you want to ask!! and it definitely saves you from beating yourself up for forgetfulness.

im praying for a successful procedure for you!!

My mother's side of the family has a condition called cardiomyopathy. Everyone has needed defibulators, her two sisters, her two brothers, seven or eight out of the ten grandchildren (the youngest one being 7 when he got his first defibulator put in). So I have watched people go through the process several times, but even so.. it is always more than a little nerve wrecking. I'll be thinking about you and saying a prayer come August 7.
