Update on DS#2's tires being slashed
We had heard rumors that they had caught the suspects and that their parents were the ones to turn them in. We weren't sure how true the rumors were until last night when the local news ran the story of 3 teens being arrested for vandelism. One of the boys was actually DS#2's friend. I would have never thought of him doing something like what they are accused of doing. Everyone in town considered him a good kid. His mom and step dad are teachers at the school and his step mom is very involved with the atheletic department, so they are all very involved with him. I guess good kids can make mistakes too. The oldest one was in DS#1's class and I am sure he convinced the other 2 to join him. He has always had a bad reputation. The other boy would be a senior this year and played football opposite side of DS#2.
The paper said they are accused of vandelizing four churches, a school, and a cememetary. They are still working on all the other cases trying to tie them together. So far they are being charged with criminal mischief. The damages so far add up to $325,000!!~*Michelle*~

Wow, I'm sorry your son is being affected by this. Seems the ones we think are good kids are the ones you need to watch out for.

That's a huge "mistake" on all their parts. Hope they find a way to make them compensate for all they have done. Desecrating cemeteries is the lowest of the low. Shaking head here. All this misery caused to many because I'm sure they were "bored". Grr.

pretty sad! I'm glad they were caught. I hope they make them make restitutions and not just give them a slap on the hand.

Maybe this will be the wakeup call that the parents need and bring the kids back down to earth. I'm sorry it was a friend of your ds's involved. That's gotta be hard for him.

That's no small mistake either, one things I have to say is "some friend", friends dont do that to other friends, no matter what. I hope your DS get's repayment for his slashed tires and pain and suffering too.

Hello smokes!!! I bet the town is gossiping about that one!!! I would be furious at DS's friends over it. The amount of damage dollar wise, is very serious!!!
taking one day at a time, trying to get rid of debt!!
